Why education

Knowledge first. Fear last.

More than one in three invasive cancers diagnosed in women in the UAE is breast cancer — and found early, it is most often survivable. A generation of young women who grow up knowing their own bodies, and knowing what to do, will face that reality with confidence instead of fear.

Education before fear

Age-appropriate sessions in schools and colleges teach breast health as normal health knowledge — so informed choices about screening and treatment are made without fear.

Taught by trusted voices

Sessions are delivered with teachers, school nurses and trained volunteers, in Arabic and English, respecting the culture of every school and family.

The whole school community

Girls, their mothers, teachers and staff — because a daughter who talks about breast health at home brings the message to the women around her.

A clear path to care

Every session ends with what to do next: how self-awareness works, when to speak to a doctor, and where screening is available in each Emirate.

How it works

Three steps into the classroom.

  1. 01

    A school or college joins

The school or college agrees to host Rise for Her sessions during the academic year, with the support of its leadership and parent community.

  2. 02

    We bring the programme

Bilingual teaching materials, trained session leaders, take-home guides for families and a referral list of screening services in that Emirate.

  3. 03

    Knowledge goes home

Students carry the message to mothers, sisters and aunts. The school reports reach, and we publish it — one informed generation at a time.
